detect-search

Overview

detect-search is PRISM's keyless tech and search-vendor detector. It drives a Playwright browser, loads the target across multiple pages, and fingerprints network traffic against vendor signatures (Algolia, Constructor, Coveo, Bloomreach, and 30+ more) plus the broader tech stack. No API key, no paid data broker. It works the way BuiltWith or Wappalyzer do, but free.

How PRISM uses detect-search

PRISM uses detect-search as its tech-stack muscle (--full-tech mode): the current search vendor, ecommerce platform, analytics, CDN, frontend framework, hosting, and more. This determines whether an audit is a displacement, an expansion, or greenfield. Part of the right-tool-for-each-job doctrine.

Status

Vendored into the arijit-skills repo and runs on the VPS executor. See 2026-06-30-detect-search-vendored. Hard limits: backend-only, self-hosted, visual, proxied, or bot-walled tech is invisible to client-side detection.
